Launched in 2017 at the fourth Annual Art and Olfaction Awards, this discretionary award is given on an annual basis to one outstanding person who makes significant contributions to public awareness of artisan, independent and experimental practices with scent, on an international scale.
No submissions are accepted for this discretionary award. The winner is ascertained by a pool of experts specific to this award.
The Contribution to Scent Culture Award is given to an outstanding person who has made significant contributions to public awareness and appreciation of artisan, independent and experimental practices with scent, internationally.
Award qualifications:
The winner of the Contribution to Scent Culture Award is decided at the sole discrection of the board of directors of the Institute for Art and Olfaction, with input from the judges, award partners and colleagues in the industry.
We also accept community nominations, which you may send in at hello@artandolfaction.com. Please note that nominations do not in any way imply that the person nominated will win. Further to that, the number of nominations will not impact the decision of who will win.
The winner will be announced yearly, at the Art and Olfaction Awards.
