The Art and Olfction Award for Experimental Work with Scent honors the work of people who engage with scent outside of the realm of commercial perfumery. This is a discretionary award, meaning that there is a pool of judges specific to this award. The award is not judged blindly.
The Art and Olfaction Award for Experimental Work with Scent is for artists or other creative or technological practitioners who make unconventional or non-traditional use of scent that takes it out of the domain of traditional perfumery.
An experimental submission will meet one or more of these points:
All submitters to the experimental category should be prepared to provide the information and names of their collaborators, including the project head and the submission's primary perfumer.
This information will be requested if the submission makes the finals.
SAMPLES
Because some experimental projects contain multiple scent components, for the experimental category we accept up to four scent samples, per project submitted.
