Artisan Award

STEP 1.

Visit our submissions website and select the Artisan Category submission form.

STEP 2.

Fill out the short online application form on Submittable and pay the fee.

STEP 3.

Look out for instructions from Submittable.com in your email inbox.

STEP 4.

Follow the instructions to send a sample of the perfume in the mail.

Independent Award

STEP 1.

Visit our submissions website and select the Independent Category submission form.

STEP 2.

Fill out the short online application form on Submittable and pay the fee.

STEP 3.

Look out for instructions from Submittable.com in your email inbox.

STEP 4.

Follow the instructions to send a sample of the perfume in the mail.

Experimental Award

STEP 1.
Visit our submissions website and select the the Experimental Award submission form.

STEP 2.
Fill out the short online application form on Submittable and pay the fee.

STEP 3.
Look out for instructions from Submittable.com in your email inbox.

STEP 4.
Follow the instructions to send a sample of the olfactory work in the mail.

Newcomer Award

STEP 1.
Fill out the artisan or independent category submission form (as appropriate for your perfume).

STEP 2.
Select the fee add-on option that says "Also submit to the Newcomer Award." Note that your submission will also be in the running in the independent or artisan category.

STEP 3.
Look out for instructions from Submittable.com in your email inbox.

STEP 4.
Follow the instructions to send a sample of the olfactory work in the mail.

The top five scoring qualifying submissions in each of those categories will then go to a secondary jury, that will blindly select the winner of the Newcomer Award.

Visionary Award

The Art and Olfaction Visionary Award does not accept submissions.

If you have someone to recommend, we’re all ears: email us at hello@artandolfaction.com.

Please note, however, that we in no way guarantee that we will select the person you suggest to win.

Contribution to Scent Culture Award

The Contribution to Scent Culture Award does not accept submissions.

Once you've filled the online form...

Once you fill out the online application form, we will send instructions on how to submit the physical package within 24 hours. These instructions are automatically emailed by our submissions partner, submittable.com.

If you do not receive an email within 24 hours, please check your spam folder. If it is not there, contact us at hello@artandolfaction.com and we will have a look.

Follow the instructions in the email to send your samples in. We highly recommend you plan for shipping delays and do not delay sending your samples in.

Once your sample is received, we will, again, send you an email notification via Submittable. Then, we will decant each perfume or experimental work into a vial and affix an anonymous tracking number to the vial. Every perfume submission is presented in the same way: a generic vial, with a number attached.
